Ooooh It’s All Gone a Little Tim Holtz Stylee

Hi Everyone

Today Mandy-Jane thought she would use a couple of stamps she has had a while to create a quick but stylish card (or at least that’s what she hopes you will see..lol).
Although the stamps used are not available at Dandie Crafts we do have some wonderful Visible Image stamps arriving in store this Saturday…and we can’t wait. Some of them will suit this style very well.
Mandy-Jane has used Stampers Anonymous – Urban Tapestry set of stamps (she lusted after them for a while but eventually succumbed to them!).  The Sheena Highland Silhouette stamp set works beautifully for a similar look to your project.  This could be a card or the start of a scrapbook page.  Maybe that’s what she will try next!

Apologies for the photo quality but bear with us – thanks.
Firstly, Mandy-Jane spritzed a piece of cream card using Radiant Rain Shimmering Mist in Pearl Gold and dried with a heat tool.
Next she took Tim Holtz’s Distress Stain in Tarnished Brass and working from her non stick craft sheet, she used a small paint brush and brushed it around all the edges until she got the colour she was after.  Not being precise to give an aged look.
Using the dotty stamp and Rangers Archival Ink in Jet Black she stamped randomly over the card.  Added the stamped corners and used Walnut Stain Distress Ink all the way around to soften the effect.  Mat and layer onto black card and then a cream base card.
To get the cork shape; as the cork sheet was too thick to go through the Grand Caliber she drew around a Spellbinders Die and cut it out.  The bird was stamped in the Archival Ink first and then over stamped to give a little shadow with the Tarnished Brass Distressed Stain.  Edge the die cut with a gold coloured pen.  Here a Sakura Pen Touch Calligrapher was used.  This was then adhered to the card.  Mandy-Jane also added gold highlights to a couple of the corner stamps.
To finish the card Mandy-Jane cut some swirly shapes using Memory Box dies and made rollie roses to match.
Inks Used: -

We hope this has inspired you.
Thanks for Popping By
xx
