- Take a piece of A4 white card and fold in half. Then use the outer die of the Deco Oval Trellis set to cut a card blank by leaving the die hang over the fold line a little so that the fold is uncut. To create the easel for the card fold the top piece in half. Next use the outer die once more to cut a whole piece. Glue this to the bottom half only of the easel fold.
- To create the inner patterned paper layer draw around the inner edge of the die and cut out. do this twice. Glue to card base - one on top and one inside.
- For the pink - use a die from the Elegant Oval Layering dies and cut two. For the white layer use the smaller dotted edge die from the Deco Oval Trellis set. Glue the pink layers onto the card base. Attach 3D foam pads to the rear of the white piece and add to top of card
- Die cut a white circle and a smaller pink circle. Glue the pink piece to the white one and attach the card base with 3D foam pads.
- Stamps and die cut a greeting. Attach to card base.
- Select your little girl image and cut out using the matching die from the Reflections Die Set. Mount to card top.
- To finish the card die cut some flowers and leaves and glue into place.
- Enjoy!

Fairy Elegance with Tonic Studios
Hi Everyone
Everywhere is bursting with colour getting ready for the summer so MJ thought that is what she would do too using soft oranges and yellows.
We hope you like it so here is how MJ made it for you.
- Make a base card using 2 pieces of A4 card to measure 8 1/2” x 7 1/2”.
- Mat a piece of orange card measuring 8 3/8” x 7 3/8” onto card front.
- Mat a piece of pretty paper on card front measuring 7 1/4” x 8 1/4”.
- Using the Art Nouveau Layering Set, cut the largest outer frame in orange.
- Then using the largest verso part cut into yellow card and then place the outer frame on and cut out. Glue onto large orange piece.
- Using the next size down repeat cutting an outer orange piece and then use the pretty paper to cut verso part as above. Glue the paper to the orange base.
- Cut out Fairy Lily in a pale peachy tone card twice. Cut from below her waist and the straight part of her legs. On the second fairy we just need the straight leg part. Glue the leg pieces across each other as in picture.
- Cut out 5 x Star Trail to use as her skirt, some flowers and butterflies together with a sentiment.
- Glue large oval piece to front of card. Then using foam pads add the top oval layer.
- Arrange and glue skirt pieces to fairy body and stick to top oval layer. Adhere legs under skirt bottom. Add butterflies and flowers.
11. Using Nuvo Crystal Drops add your design around the edges and to corners of card.
12. To finish add the greeting.

Tonic Beautiful Buckle Die Set – New Release – Sneak Peek
Hi Everyone
MJ is back with a Sneak Peek tonight of one of the new releases from Tonic Studios. She choose to use the Beautiful Buckle with a twist! Not a card this time but a Bracelet Cuff.
As soon as MJ saw this die set she thought it looked like a bracelet or a gorgeous watch strap so she got straight to it with this simple project idea for you.
Having recently done this painting technique with her classes MJ decided that it would fit what she had in mind perfectly. So she gathered together her gesso, inks, paints and glue, put her pinny on and began.
Using the Beautiful Buckle die set MJ cut the inner part of the die from Grunge Paper and then cut the outer edges with the strip die. Then she cut another band just using the outer strip die. She gave these pieces a light coat of Vintage Photo Distress Ink and dried. On reverse of plain piece paint with the Precious Metal Colour paint as this acts as a sealant. Now she added some random streaks of Gilding Blush – Gold Leaf. Applied on top of the wax was a light blue wash of colour. Leave to dry. Using gesso and blue distress ink take a stippling brush and go over some of the areas removing any excess with a dry kitchen towel. Once dry buff the pieces to bring out the shine.
Glue fancy cut-out section onto top of plain under section. Cut to size required to fit wrist. Add a hitch fastener to one end of bracelet and cut a small slit on the other end so that the fastener will fit through to secure. Decorate to suit. Enjoy!

Heartfelt Creations Altered Box Project–Celebrate the Journey and Arianna Blooms
Hi Everyone
Hope you are all enjoying your Bank Holiday.
MJ was asked if she could do another suitcase project so she has!
So today MJ is sharing a project she created yesterday using an old Molton Brown Gift Box and some gorgeous Heartfelt Creations products. Once again MJ is using two of her favourite sets; Celebrate the Journey and Arianna Blooms.
This is the box from the outside……
And this is the box from the inside..
This is what it looked like originally (although she said she had used all her goodies up!)
- First thing MJ did was coat the whole box with 2 – 3 coats of white gesso to cover the design on the outside and to cover the yellow inside the box too. Then dried with heat tool.
- Next she lined the inside and outside of the box with papers from the Celebrate the Journey paper pad.
- Then she stamped the suit case onto one of the papers and cut out using the matching die and also cut one unstamped piece of paper for the rear of the suitcase. A 1/2” strip of paper was cut and folded in half and glued in to act as hinge.
- Using the Arianna Bloom stamp and matching die MJ produced a mass of flowers which she shaped and glued together to form the flowers.
- Taking the Celebrate the Journey Sentiments stamp and the Once Upon a Time die set she cut out the round greetings and mounted onto card. She also used the World Map PreCut Set to create the torn pieces inside the box and the Balloon and the Bicycle set to make the balloon piece. The tags and tickets were cut from the paper pad.
- Once she had all the elements ready to go she glued them into place inside the box until she was happy with the finish. Adding some floral detail to the inside and front of it too.

Lavinia Zen Tree Stamp, Light Modelling Paste and Kroma Crackle
Hi Everyone
MJ thought she was being really lazy and not posting something!…lol
So she decided to do a really quick and easy project for you using one of her favourite Lavinia Stamps – the Zen Tree.
What MJ Did
- Take a card tag or similar and apply a very light scraping of light modelling paste. Try not to cover the entire tag evenly as you want it to get some uneven texture.
- Dry the paste with a heat tool.
- Next take the Kroma Crackle and spread it thinly but evenly across the entire tag and dry as before. The Krackle will turn white as it is drying.
- Once dried completely use Archival inks in Potting Soil, Cornflower Blue, Red Geranium to add colour to the background and then Orange Blossom over all the colours to blend. Dry.
- Using Black Archival ink stamp the Lavinia ‘Zen Tree’ design centrally on tag base. Dry.
- Then add colour with pens (MJ used Spectrum Noir carefully so that she did not run into the Black Archival).
- With a White Pen-Touch pen (0.7mm) add dot highlights on stamped image.
- Finally using the Red Geranium ink go around the edges to finish.
What MJ Used
Maimeri Light Modelling Paste
Kroma Crackle – IndigoBlu
Wendy Vecchi Archival Inks –
Potting Soil, Cornflower Blue, Red Geranium and Orange Blossom
Spectrum Noir Pens – GB1, DG4 and DR6
Sakura Pen-Touch White (0.7mm) Opaque Pen

Today we have a simple stamped card using the Dimension Stamp 'Vintage Fluttering Flourishes' stamp plate.
You get an amazng 14 elements to this set and it is so elegant. The butterfly is a large size but you can do so many effects with it. The flourishes and swirls are very useful and create wonderful backgrounds especially when used with WOW embossing powders. Doing this you not only get a luxurious finish but you also get texture.
We have chosen to use cream and black card together with black ink. We have also used the Sheena Silouhette Garden stamp plate.
Ingredients Used: -
Cream Card
Black Card
Dimension Stamp - Vintage Fluttering Flourishes stamp
Sheena - Silouhette Garden stamp plate
Versafine Ink Pad - Onyx Black
Tonic Studio Border Punch - Doily Edge
Card Candy
Pink Saddle Stitch Gross Grain Ribbon
Collall 3D Glue Gel
What We Did
- Fold cream card stock in half to form A5 card base. Using a flourish stamp and the Versafine ink stamp the image on to front of card to create the background.
- Next, cut a piece of cream card to 13cm x 16cm. Stamp the butterfly image in the centre of this.
- Then using a Sheena leafy branch stamp - stamp around the outside edges.
- Take a craft knife and cut around the outside edge of the wings only so that they can be bent upwards.
- Cut a piece of black card to 13.5cm x 16.5cm and matt your butterfly panel onto this.
- Take a strip of black card and punch along the length of it. Adhere to front of card.
- Cut a strip of ribbon and adhere on top of punched border.
- Mount butterfly panel onto left hand side of front of card using 3D foam or Collall 3D glue gel.
- Finally embellish with the card candy and add a bow to finish.
