- Take a piece of A4 white card and fold in half. Then use the outer die of the Deco Oval Trellis set to cut a card blank by leaving the die hang over the fold line a little so that the fold is uncut. To create the easel for the card fold the top piece in half. Next use the outer die once more to cut a whole piece. Glue this to the bottom half only of the easel fold.
- To create the inner patterned paper layer draw around the inner edge of the die and cut out. do this twice. Glue to card base - one on top and one inside.
- For the pink - use a die from the Elegant Oval Layering dies and cut two. For the white layer use the smaller dotted edge die from the Deco Oval Trellis set. Glue the pink layers onto the card base. Attach 3D foam pads to the rear of the white piece and add to top of card
- Die cut a white circle and a smaller pink circle. Glue the pink piece to the white one and attach the card base with 3D foam pads.
- Stamps and die cut a greeting. Attach to card base.
- Select your little girl image and cut out using the matching die from the Reflections Die Set. Mount to card top.
- To finish the card die cut some flowers and leaves and glue into place.
- Enjoy!

Crafting Musketeers Challenge #31 Anything But Square
Hi Everyone
It’s another month and another fabulous challenge over at Crafting Musketeers blog.
The theme this month is ‘Anything But Square’ so here is my project that will hopefully inspire you. xx
I have made an easel type card with a deep spine so that I could add the candle box at the front. I have used one of my favourite Crafters Companion ranges (an old one though!) for all the printed parts and embossed areas.
The butterflies are from Spellbinders and the swirls are a Memory Box Die.
The sponsor for this month are the fabulous JGD Crafts .
Here is a little bit about them.
We are a friendly local business in the heart of Nottinghamshire, England. We specialise in both Card Making and Parchment craft products and tuition. Janet Humphries (the owner) started her passion for what she does now as a hobby concentrating on mainly decoupage. After the shortage of local shops selling the goods she required, Janet then started running a business back in 2002 on a local market in Mansfield.
The prize is something of the sponsors choice.
And if you don't have your own blog , don't worry , remember we have a Facebook Page for you.
Post your entry onto. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Crafting-Musketeers-Challenge-BLOG/320703981385124
The challenge this month will end on 28th November at 8pm, so when you are ready please enter your project and best of luck .

NEW Tonic Patchwork Perfection Collection
Hi Everyone, MJ here again!
Hope you are ready for Jodie at noon today with the launch of the NEW Patchwork Perfection Dies and Paper Collection. It is glorious and I loved working with it.
So here is another of my projects for you to see. This time I chose classic White and blue tones.
What MJ Did
- Create a 6” x 6” easel card blank from white card.
- Using one of the outer square edges cut navy card twice to make a square. This will matt perfectly onto your base. Make two squares.
- Take a patchwork square inner die and cut it four times in the centre of each square. This will make the lacy patchwork panels.
- Cut two pieces of a lighter blue card slightly smaller than the navy square and glue to back of each panel. Wrap a length of ribbon around the centre of one panel only. Using foam pads on rear of this adhere to the front of the card.
- Glue remaining square to inside base of card.
- Cut a patchwork piece out of white card, trim and mount onto light blue and then navy. Cut out the oval frame in white and the navy frame part. Add this to front of card together with small square panel.
- Die cut a bow base piece and glue in position on bottom part of card. Add a bow to finish.
What Was Used
Tonic Studios Patchwork Perfection – Vineyard Squares Die Set – 186E
Tonic Studios Friends Are Forever
Indulgence Die and Stamp Set – 1037E
Tonic Studios Small Dainty Bow Set – 595E
We hope you have been inspired.

Thelwell – some more inspiration for you :)
Hi Everyone
We’ve just got to say that you are loving, loving, loving the new Thelwell CD’s and Papercrafting Kit!! All MJ can say is WOW!!
A very quick post for you tonight just to give you another couple of ideas.
These designs are adorable! What a lovely way to present a gift to someone special? I know we would feel very special if we received this!
MJ has made this using the Thelwell CD. She chose to make a Trinket Box which is all done ready for you on the CD. All you need to do is glue and add decorations. The flowers are taken from the embellishment section, rolled and all the petals shaped outwards using the end of a quilling tool. It has been made from Centura pearl to print the design on and then Kraft and Black Matte card to layer with.
In the next project below MJ has printed a Frame Card, added acetate and has then used some die cuts to decorate. She used Sheena’s Perfect Partners dies for the fence, trees and daisy border. The flowers are from the embellishments section of the CD.
We hope you have been inspired.

The TWEEDIES are ready to launch today!
Hi Everyone
It’s that time when Crafters Companion bring you another great collection called ‘The Tweedies’. If you loved ‘Halcyon Days’ then you will love the quirky designs that you will find on this CD. It’s full of gorgeous papers with all types of stitchery designs in lots of different formats. You get toppers, shaped cards, embellishments, sentiments only to name a few. There is something to suite everyone for all occasions.
MJ has a small collection of samples to show you today ahead of the show. So here we go!
This first easel card is made using one of the Frame Card designs on the CD together with some toning design papers. To finish the card she chose to use the layered bows sprayed with Spray and Sparkle Iridescent, border and sentiments sheets together with a handful of Die’Sire Quilled Flowers.
Here is another version using a Frame Card…
Let’s move onto the MJ’s next card for you.
This project is made using the Interlocking Card from the Shaped Cards section of the CD but making it into a box lid. She also printed some lovely design papers to match. The border used is from the Bebunni range of dies and is called Cottage Lace.
Another project to tempt you? Okay then ….Next!
This card was made using a twisted easel card base and just one set of card companions from the CD. All MJ did was cut out all the elements at first and then played with the positioning. She still has loads left for another project.
Well that’s it for today. Don’t forget to tune in to watch the show with Fiona Clayton later on. She has lots of ideas to share with you.
We hope you have been inspired.

Crafters Inspiration Magazine Issue 4 - Makey Bakey Mice with Embossalicious and Kraft Card
Hi Everyone
Thought we would share a project that MJ has done for you using the FREE CD images that come within the Crafters Inspiration Magazine Issue 4. The freebies are great and give you such added value with nothing taken away from the quality of the items enclosed.
Today MJ has chosen to use the Makey Bakey Mice decoupage topper image into an easel card project.
She used the Crafters Companion Kraft Card together with two backing papers she chose from the CD. MJ loves to work with Kraft Card and soft blues – it’s such a pretty combo.
The quality of this image is superb and the decoupage is so made so easy to cut out – not too many fussy bits and bobs.
On the tag shape she embossed the Kraft Card using an 8” x 8” Embossalicious folder called Flower Frenzy and then inked lightly over with Tea Dye Distress Ink and Frayed Burlap around the edges to darken.
The mini easel card is made from one of the greeting panels from a sentiments sheet.
She even decided to make a small box using her UltimatePro and Boxer Board – it’s so easy to make if you have the correct equipment to hand. MJ hates too much ‘faffing’ as she calls it. She likes things to be simple to achieve for everyone. To finish, all she did was pierce three small holes with her pokey tool through the top of the box and pushed in the candle holders. The candles just store in the box below.
You can really go to town with your chosen decorations. Have fun!
We hope you have been inspired.

7th March 2014 – 12 Noon - Rachel Anne Miller with Crafters Companion – Sneak Peek
Hi Everyone
Well it’s been an odd week for MJ so here are a couple of Sneak Peeks from tomorrow’s Crafters Companion Pick of the Week on Create and Craft TV with the lovely Dawn Wheeler. She will be showcasing the NEW Rachel Anne Miller CD’s and Stamps for you.
MJ loved working with them (but doesn’t she always!). Once again she has been blown away by the fabulous backing papers available on the CD’s. There is such a range of gorgeous printable elements to this set that it makes it hard to choose which ones to start with!
There’s images for both boys and girls and the animal designs are to die for (and we mean die cutting..lol). The cute little boy in his cape was MJ’s first stop in this crafting adventure.
You even have brilliant shaped cards to make. Just print, cut out and add all your favourite embellishments; there are lots to choose from on the CD.
And then there are the stamps – so cute, adorable and fun!
In the project below MJ has used one of the stamp sets coloured using her Spectrum Noir Pens together with a lovely coordinating backing paper and Die’Sire dies.
This cute little box drawer was made using one of the coordinating backing papers and a card companion set. She used the matching greeting panels and added the ‘4 you’ using the alphabet section. It’s so easy to work with these designs as the hard work is done for you. All you need to do is decide on the colours you want to use.
The fun element was key to MJ for her samples. There are so many ways to use them. She only touched the surface with some simple projects. Please take a look on Crafters Companion FB and blog pages for more adorable projects to inspire you from the Design Team. You will love what you see and will be champing at the bit to have a go yourselves. Another classic!
Please don’t miss the shows starting tomorrow at 12 noon. Quick get the Sky+ remote and press record now so that you don’t miss one single idea!
We hope you have been inspired.

Pretty in Pink with Chloe and Bo Bunny
Today Mandy-Jane is sharing a card that she made during a demo at Dandie Crafts on 6th July. She thoroughly enjoyed the day and loved working with the Chloe Designs stamps.
She made an easel base card from white card stock so that base card measured 15cm x 15cm.
Next using silver mirri card she cut 2 x 14.8cm squares and attached to front and inside bottom of card.
Take Bo Bunny paper and cut 2 x 14.5cm squares. Adhere on top of silver card.
Cut a 6.5cm x 14.8cm piece of silver mirri card and a piece of pink paper at 5.5cm x 14cm. Mat these pieces together. Add foam pads to rear and attach to bottom of card approx 2.5cm in from edge of card. This will be the stopper for easel.
Take the Chloe small daisy stamp and ink with Versamark, stamping onto pink card x 4. Then use WOW embossing powder in silver pearl over the image and heat. Once cool cut all 4 daisies out. Layer in pairs. Add one to raised stopper and one to front of easel.
To finish add some due cuts. Mandy-Jane has used the Heartfelt Creations Bella Rose die set for the swirly bits.
Mandy-Jane chose an Inkylicious verse and stamped onto a Spellbinders shape.
We hope you have been inspired.
