Die cut two white outer shapes, score at top of one only down about 1". Glue the two circles together at the scored area only to create your card base.

Die cut the outer size circle in black then recut using the detailed part of die. Adhere to base card.,

Die cut smaller red circle from set and re-cut using the smaller detailed die. Glue in position.

Die cut Percy Panda from black and white card and assemble him.

To make the bamboo - Cut 1/4" strips of three different shades of green card. Using scissors snip little 'v' shapes down the lengths of both sides of each piece.

To make the leaves - using Leo Lion die set cut his fringe part out several times in each colour green. Glue these to the strips to create the bamboo effect.

Add the bamboo pieces (some flat and some raised on 3d foam) and then add Percy Panda with 3D foam to finish.

Enjoy!

Use an 8" x 8" white card base.

Die cut the second largest circle into the centre of the card front.

Die cut a red frame by using the largest circle die and then cutting out the centre with the second largest die. Glue to front of aperture. (I have cut a red frame so that if there are any gaps after placing flames you will not see white card through it).

Next using red, yellow and orange card die cut the flames using Leo's tail mane die. Glue all pieces around aperture to create the flames.

Take the Leo Lion Die set and cut and emboss the body pieces highlighting using Nuvo Aqua Flow pens through the die once embossed. Layer Leo up and glue together.

To make him leap through front of card - cut two strips of card 1" x 2 1/2" and score them at every 1/2", fold and burnish concertina style. Glue to rear of Leo.

Mat a red 7 7/8" square to inside back of card. Cut three circles decreasing in size in chosen colours and glue in place.

Glue the tabs on back of Leo to centre of inner circle layers.

Add a banner with a Happy Birthday sentiment to finish.

What I Did

Die cut four navy blue cake box pieces.

Die cut four rectangle detailed verso pieces from white card, two triangle pieces and two small rectangle pieces. Next cut the light blue panels using the outer dies to match verso detailed ones. Glue matching pieces together.

Take the cake slice box pieces and glue to form box shapes making sure not to glue the opening.

To glue boxes to make boat shape - take open flaps, and slot into each other with triangle points facing outwards and glue in place.

Next to make box insert - cut a piece of card at 7" x 7" and score at 1 7/8" around all edges. Glue to form box. Insert into centre of cake boxes and glue into position.

To make the sail - cut two triangle shapes to desired size. Take a straw and cut slits in it with a craft knife then insert sail pieces into slots created to hold in place. I used a mini cotton reel to secure to base of the boat by pushing the straw into centre hole and gluing in position.

Decorate the sail to suit.

Die cut the greeting from black and yellow card, shadow and add to card,

Die cut some flowers from yellow card and tone down with the Aquaflow pens. Die cut the leaves and add some veins using a ball tool.

Die cut Tower Bridge in mid grey, London eye and The Gherkin in pale grey and Big Ben in a stone colour.

Cut 5 strips of acetate at 3/8" wide by width of bag plus 1/4" tab at either end of this strip.

Tape the die cut pieces onto the acetate strips.

Next arrange and attach the strips into the bag base using DS tape on tabs.

What I Did

Die cut three Shadow Boxes from your chosen paper - I used double-sided scrapbook paper so that the inside of the boxes were lined. Glue each of the long sides first and then glue the short ends into place to form your boxes.

Cut the beach hut front and back pieces from the scrapbook paper using the Gingerbread House Die Set. Then cut strips of paper for the side walls and the roof. Glue the pieces together to form the hut. Cut a mat with the coordinating die from Gingerbread House set.

To make drawer wraps - here I used a box making scoreboard on the bottom right-hand side. Cut a piece of card at 3 7/8" x 10". Each time you score, fold and butt the fold against board edge. Score at 5/8" - 5/8" - 7 1/8" - 5/8" - 5/8". Cut another piece of car to 3 7/8" x 7 1/8" and glue into position to form box wrap. Repeat this three times then glue one on top of other to form chest of drawers.

Cut card and decorative paper to size for the sides and top of the drawers holder and glue into position. This will make it nice and firm.

Take some pale blue card and tear a piece to fit across left-hand corner. Glue to top of drawer unit. Next use some sand coloured card and tear a piece to fit the corner slightly smaller than the blue piece. Glue in place.

Add Beach Hut to top of drawer unit.

Glue some buttons onto drawer fronts as handles.

Die cut some letters from the alphabet set, shadow and add to top of drawers.

To finish add some art stones, small shells etc (which I didn't have in my stash!)

Enjoy!

Cut two shadowboxes in pink spotty and two in plain pink card. Glue to form frames - construct the frame by sticking the long sides first, then the shorter ones in place.

Cut four detailed insert frames from the brilliant white card keeping the cut out centre pieces for later. Also cut two solid spotty frames and two solid pink frames. Glue the detailed frame pieces to the solid frames.

Next cut three 1" wide strips of card from scrap left and score down the length at 1/2" and fold in half. Glue the left-hand side of the folded strip to the right-hand side of a spotty box. Then glue the second half of the strip to the front left-hand side of a plain pink box.

To attach the third spotty box repeat the step above but glue to the back of the boxes. Then the last strip will repeat and glue to the front again. The boxes will now concertina fold. Cut pink spotty rectangle panels to fit rear of boxes so that the strips are covered on the back of the project.

To cover the glued strips adhere the decorative frames to the front of the boxes.

Take the brilliant white rectangles that were removed from the detailed frames earlier, and glue them inside the boxes.

Cut two of the detailed inner panels from plain pink card and two solid panels from the green spotty card. Choose the images you want, glue to rear of picture apertures. Glue the green spotty card to the rear of the inner aperture panel and add to inside of boxes.

Cut two ovals out to act as a vase base. Die cut the flowers from the new sets, layer together to form the flower heads. Die cut the leaves. Glue in position and add butterflies to finish.

Enjoy!

What I Did

Take the shadow box die and cut out in your chosen double-sided scrapbook paper or card stock. Once cut fold on score lines, burnish and glue together starting with the longest sides first. Then glue the short edges to form the box frame.

Next take some black cardstock, cut the largest outer edge die, then place the verso detailed frame on to it and cut the centre of the panel out using the next rectangle down in size.

Using the flower dies from the insert die sets, cut out as many as you need together with the small leaves die from the shadow box die set.

Die cut from the alphabets D-A-D from black card. Remove the letters from centres and put to one side. Gild with Indian Gold Embellishment Mousse. Put DS Tape across the back of the gilded letters and then return the centres of the letters.

Gild the detailed frame and the flowers using in Indian Gold.

Out of black card, cut the smaller rectangle die from the insert set. Next die cut man panel out from the right-hand side of panel and trim the other side away with a craft knife.

Cut out the centre rectangle from ivory card and glue inside the shadow box.

Add the man panel to inside of box. Put 3D foam onto the rear of the letters and stick in positon inside the box.

Glue the gilded frame in place on top of box edge, add the flowers and leaf detail.

Lastly cut a card stand from black and add to the back of the box so that it stands up.

Hi Everyone

I have another sneak peek for you today showcasing the wonderful NEW Buildables Die Sets from Tonic Studios. I just can't put them away! So today I thought we would do a little 8" x 8" canvas project using the gorgeous Hedgehog from the collection - he is soooo sweet :)

So let's get started.....

What I Did

Take an 8" x 8" canvas and using the Nuvo Embellishment Mousse in Spring Green add a little colour all over background.

Next take some distress ink - Mustard Seed first, then Candied Apple lightly over corner edges.

Cut out the leaves, whole base leaf and the verso leaf too, using the Autumn Die Collection Die Sets.

Using distress inks in Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon, Candied Apple and Aged Mahogany and cut and dry foam (or ink blending tools) colour the leaves. Once dry glue leaf pairs together. The twig bits are from the verso leaf cut coloured with Vintage Photo ink.

Using a hot glue gun add leaves to centre of canvas front. Put aside.

Die cut the pieces needed for the Hedgehog, glue together. Shape the cute one you now have to round him up a little and attach to centre of leaves.

Now he is ready to sleep ..... awwww!

Enjoy!

What I Did

Took some hessian fabric and cut it into strips. Then pull some of the outside threads away to fray edges.

Next using a hot glue gun (be careful not to burn your fingers please) glue a strip to the rear and wind around the wreath base adding more strips until the whole wreath base is covered.

Next cut Betty out using grey, white and coral pink Craft Perfect Card. ** The face and the tummy panel are the same die piece.

Glue the tummy panel to large body piece and the rear of body and add tail on.

Take some 3D foam pads and add to back of paws.

Make up the nose part using foam pads on rear. Stick this to face head shape. Cut the eyes out and glue into place. Add the ears.

Add foam pads to bottom rear of head and attach to body. So cute!

Using the Birthday Banner Die Set - cut the small size banner and the side tail pieces. Glue together. Die cut the Happy Birthday from banner set and add to front. Glue in place.

Make some flowers using your favourite floral dies - I have used the Beautiful Blooms sets.

Decorate to finish.

Enjoy!

Hi Everyone

Today I have been playing with Tonic Studios NEW Nuvo Jewel Drops launched today as the One Day Wonder on Create and Craft. I hope you have been watching the shows :)

The Design Team have made some inspirational projects for you to drool over so check them out on Tonic's Pinterest account. You will love them.

So here is my card for this afternoon an I hope you like it. I have used the Jewel Drops to create a mosaic effect background for you. So let's get started!

What I Did

First I took a piece of acetate and laid it over my glass mat so that I could use the squares as a guide. I then took the red and green Jewel Drops and used them to draw squares to form a checked pattern ensuring that colours joined up together. Let dry (I let it dry overnight).

Once the drops are completely dry I broke it into shards.

Take a 7" x 7" white card blank and glue the shards of jewel drops down the right-hand side to form an irregular pattern.

Next cut a piece of red card to 4 1/8" x 6 5/8" and a green piece at 4" x 6 1/2". Layer together and add to the left-hand side of card front.

Die cut leaves from the Autumn Die Collection together with a greeting. Glue in position.

As it's nearly the weekend and us girls love to get dressed up to go out for that special night I thought I would share this project (or at least half this project..lol) with you. All you need is glue, a brush and Tonic Studios Nuvo Sparkle Dust... so let's get started.
What I Did

First find shoes you want to bling up and give them a good clean to remove any dirt or grease.

Next get an old pot to mix glue in. Pour some Nuvo Adhesive into pot and then mix in some Sparkle Dust.

Then using a brush paint the mixture all over the shoe. This will give a good base to build on. Leave to dry. Once dry add some more of the glue mix but this time holding the shoe over a box/tray, sprinkle the shoe with Sparkle Dust direct from pot. Make sure all areas with glue are covered. Wipe away any excess glue from inside shoe and sole. Leave to dry.

Once dry tap off excess glitter. Use a soft brush to burnish and smooth glitter. This will get off any last remaining loose glitter.

Now you are ready to dance the night away - enjoy!

Hello Everyone

And welcome to today's card project using Tonic Studios fantastic NEW Celebration Rococo dies. I am using the Wedding Car for the tutorial today but we are heading into the jungle on our own little safari where there's no need for mosquito spray.... :)

Create a black card base using the largest die in the Jasmine Die set, Then using the same die take a piece of grey card and draw inside the edge of the die with a pencil and cut out. This will give you a narrow border. Glue this to front of card.

Using the next size plain die in the Jasmine set cut a printed piece of paper and glue onto front of card.

Die a another smaller layer in a contrasting printed paper. Then take a piece of black card, lay the die over and draw around the outside of the die this time. Cut out. Glue the pieces together. Cut a small strip of green card and a narrower piece of Kraft card and stick one on top of the other. Cut in half so that you have two strips. Glue one to each side of the card.

Put 3D foam onto the rear of the layered panel and attach to card.

Die cut some leaves using the Autumn Die collection and decorate where wanted.

Next die cut the wedding car in green. Snip away the the roof and middle section of car and rejoin the front to the back to make a shorter vehicle.

Stick the card die cut onto black card and cut away excess. Then layer on to grey card, trim around to leave narrow border. Layer once more onto white card trimming to leave narrow border.

Die cut wording in white and black and stick together with a shadow. Add to front of card along with the finished car.

I have a little card for you this afternoon showcasing the new Tonic Studios Celebration Dies and I am using the Horseshoe design. Once again these dies are so versatile....so let's use our crafty heads to see what we can make :)

What I Did

Using the Bowscale set of dies and create an 8" x 8" card base from Kraft card.

Next cut a square of green spotty paper at 7 3/4" x 7 3/4". Glue to front of card.

Then cut a smaller rectangle using the Bowscale dies. Cut a green layer to fit and glue together an add to left front of card. Die cut two swirls and add to card.

Take some hessian lace ribbon and add a strip across the centre of the card.

Die cut a circle (I used the Celtic Dreams) from Kraft card and a smaller circle from the spotty paper. Glue together. Add 3D foam tape to rear of circle and postion on card to the right-hand side.

Using the Celebration Horseshoe cut three out in white and three out in green. Glue in pairs slightly shadowing them. Arrange on front of circle in shape of a clover leaf using 3D foam pads to raise it up. Add a stem.

Die cut the wording once in white and once in green. Glue together with a shadow. Add to card. To finish add some Nuvo Gloss Drops.

Here is a really easy way to transform some plain boxes using two colours and a bit of lace trimming from my craft stash.

What I Did

Measure sides of the box or boxes and the lids too you are using and cut double-sided paper to fit.

Peel off one side of the covering on adhesive tape and carefully adhere to box sides and lid - smoothing down as you go to avoid air bubbles. Leave the top covering sheets on.

Working on one side at a time on the box first carefully peel the covering up from the bottom only half way up the side. Lay the lace along the edge ensuring it is lying flat. Peel the remaining cover sheet off. Take the Sparkle Dust and cover the open areas. Shake off excess and burnish so that it smooth and flat. Brush wit a soft brush to remove any fine particles left.

Remove the lace gently and add the second colour dust to cover all remaining sticky areas. Once again burnish.

Repeat this process until all the sides have been decorated.

To finish add some embellishment mousse to gild the edges.

Hi Everyone

I am sooo excited to share this project with you. I have been using the wonderful Brand New Sparkle Dust glitters from Tonic Studios. These are a collection of 12 Ultra-Fine glitters that can be used on many different projects in many different applications...but basically they are GORGEOUS.. :)

Here is my project for you. I have used the Sparkle Dust to frost the glass of my picture frame, to add colour to my flower layers and to stamp and colour on with my Nuvo pens....love all the ways it works. This is just my first share but I have others that I will share over the next couple of days with you.

What I Did

I have used a 1" deep box picture frame. Take back off, cover glass and paint all over the frame with white acrylic paint. Leave to dry.

Next cut a square of double-sided adhesive paper to fit the front of the glass. Die cut a heart from the centre to create an aperture. Carefully stick the adhesive paper to the front of the glass peeling the covering off a little at the time smoothing onto surface avoiding any air bubbles.

Once glue adhesive has been applied to glass sprinkle Sparkle Dust over the surface making sure all areas are covered. Dust off excess with a soft brush and gently burnish the glitter to male smooth.

Cut black heart and add verso detail. Glue a piece of paper to inside of back piece and then glue heart centrally to this.

Cut a piece of card to fit stamp size and cover with a piece of the adhesive paper. Peel off top layer and cover with Sparkle Dust. Once again burnish until smooth. Using the Nuvo alcohol pens colour the image (this can be done before and the adhesive paper and glitter added after). Cut around image leaving a narrow border. Shape and using 3D foam pads pop into position.

Place back panel to rear of frame and secure.

Die cut some flowers both open and closed shapes. Take a Nuvo glue pen and add this all over the closed petal shapes, sprinkle with Sparkle Dust and leave to dry. Once dry layer the flowers. Die cut some swirls in black and these together with the flowers to two of the outside corners of the frame. To finish add some Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Hi Everyone

Mandy-Jane here. Well today I am sharing my last project that I made for Tonic Studios Autumn Die Collection. I really have enjoyed creating all my projects with these fab dies. They are a great size.

So here's my offering for you.

What I Did

Take a 7" x 7" white blank and cut a dark teal piece of card to 6 5/8" x 6 5/8". Glue to font of card.

Cut a 6" x 6" piece of white card.

To create the front aperture; measure and cut 1/2" in from the the outside edges and 2 1/2" across. Join between the points to cut final inner edge.

Next cut a piece of black card at 3" x 5 1/2". Create a frame by measuring and cutting in 3/8" on all edges. Glue this frame to the front of the white aperture.

Cut a piece of white card at 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" and using distress ink colour half blue and half green. Glue this panel to the centre of card front.

Take the frame piece, add 3D foam to the rear and attach to front of card.

From black card die cut three solid corn pieces. Then cut three white ones cutting the detail out using the verso part of die. Cut off stems from the white die cuts. Glue these pieces on top of black solids.

Add the corn layered die cuts into centre of frame.

Die cut the wording in black and teal. Shadow and glue together. Add to front of card.

Finish with black Nuvo drops.

Enjoy!

Using a cream 8" x 8" card blank cut a piece of brown card at 7 3/4" x 7 3/4" and glue to front.

Next emboss a piece of cream card using the chevron embossing folder. Cut off the border and glue to front centre of card.

Using the Autumn Die Collection cut out three yellow maple leaf solid shapes plus two maple leaves with the verso centre. Glue the two detailed leaves to two solid ones.

Cut out 4 branches from brown card.

Cut out five yellow solid bramble leaf branches and then use the verso centre pieces on two of them. Glue the two detailed leaves to two solid ones.

Hi Everyone

MJ here. I hope you have had a fab weekend.

Today I am sharing a small mixed media canvas I made for the launch of Tonic Studios new Autumn Die Collection. It is very easy but quite effective.

The dies cut like butter through the funky foam. On my previous post I had cut the grasses from foam and used as a stamp for the background.

Hi Everyone

I know 'two blog posts in one day!' The reason for this is that I am busy, busy at work tomorrow and haven't learned the ancient art of scheduling sorry...lol 😆

I have thoroughly enjoyed working on this project. I love creating scenes using stamps but this time I am using the fabulous NEW Tonic Studios Autumn Die Collection to achieve my end result. So let's get the dies, some funky foam, an acrylic block and some inks and play!

What I Did

Take an 8" x 8" card blank and the second largest circle die and make your shaped base by leaving the edge of the die hanging over the fold a fraction and run through your machine. (You will need an A4 format die cutting machine such as the Tonic Tangerine). With fold to the top score horizontally across and fold.

Next using the same die cut out three circles in white. Add one circle to the front bottom edge of the card to make an easel card.

Using the verso die (next one down) cut this design from both the remaining white circles. Then take the next size circle down and cut out the centre.

Cut two green circles from the circle die used first (larger one being used). Stick one of the detailed frames to a green circle and glue to inside base of the card (you may need to trim this a little before where the fold is).

Using smaller circle die, die cut the centre from the remaining green circle. Glue the other detailed frame to this. Add 3D foam to the rear - put aside ready.

Cut two smaller white circles from the die set and glue one to the inside base of card.

Take some funky foam and the reed die and cut out an image. Use a temporary glue adhesive on the rear of the die cut and stick to an acrylic block. This is now our stamp to create the scene. Stamp on to the white circle in various greens and lastly with black, Leave space to one side. Now use some distress ink and colour the back ground to add sky.

Die cut some ivy leaves, branches and reeds in black card and a small butterfly.

Stick the top frame piece to top front of card. Add the stamped circle to the centre.

Arrange die cuts and glue in to position.

Die cut a greetings panel and add the greeting to suit. Raise on 3D foam for the stopper.

Enjoy!

Use an 8” x 8” cream card blank. Cut a 7 3/4” square from
caramel card and glue to front.

Next cut a 7” x 7” brown square and a 5” x 5” brown square.
Use an embossing folder for both squares. Using a mixture of the Nuvo mousses
gently add layers of colour until you are happy with it. Glue the large square
to card front. Cut a piece of caramel to 5 1/8” x 5 1/8” and adhere to rear of
smaller embossed square. Add to card front with 3D foam pads.

Die cut a selection of the bramble leafy branch in brown and
some of the more delicate leaf branches in caramel.

Take the bramble leaves and cut off the leaves. Apart from
one set of the medium brown leaves, place them into an embossing folder and
emboss. Using the Nuvo mousses colour the embossed leaves as before. Glue the
leaves in sets of four by forming a cross shape. Glue large embossed at bottom,
then the plain brown medium leaves and lastly the small embossed leaves. This
will form the larger flower. Add to front of card with the caramel
leaves.

The small flower is made in this same manner but just using
two layers of the smaller leaves to form the bloom.

MJ here today with my tutorial with the Traditional Spray Stamp Set 2. I love this set with the beautiful modern rose. You can make so many wonderful designs with them. This set would make beautiful elegant wedding stationery too. Imagine gold embossing power on ivory/cream card. Lovely. May be I will play with that idea on another tutorial for you?

I hope you like it. :)

What I Did

Take an 8" square card blank. Cut a piece of pink card to 7 1/2" square and glue to card front. Next cut a piece of printed paper to 7 1/4" square and add this to card front.

Cut a piece of watercolour card to 3" x 6".

Using the blue embellishment mousse and a baby wipe add a wash of colour across the whole piece. Dry.

Dust across the watercolour card using an anti-static before beginning to stamp the design.

Using Versamark ink and white embossing powder stamp your chosen design, add the powder, knock off excess and heat to melt. Let it cool.

Take the mousses once again and paint as desired. Let dry.

Mount this piece onto some pink card leaving a narrow border around all edges.

Attach to card front with 3D foam pads.

Add the dots by using Nuvo Crystal drops and glitter.

To make the butterfly use the open leaf stamp this time using Versamark ink with the pink embossing powder. Stamp it six times. Colour with the mousses. Cut out and stick the bottom four together and add the remaining two leaves to the top part of the butterfly. Cut a body from scrap pink card and glue on. Add to the card with 3D Foam pads.

Die cut the Birthday Swirl and glitter (I used double-sided adhesive paper for mine).
